Throughout May and June, Diversified Builders, the contractors, dug out the footings and readied them for the pouring of the concrete, dug out the water diversion channel around the site and built the containment pond.

The rectory also is being built concurrently; they have dug out the site, laid the footings, built the sub-floor, poured the cement for the garage, and have begun framing and roofing the house.  The design and construction of the rectory is being completed by KASM Construction, a local firm.

So far there have been no major hiccups with any of the work, and that has been a huge relief.  The concrete for the floor of the parish center and the steel framing continued in July and August. The other work during the summer will be the road improvements on Desert Shadows Lane. The new site is located on Desert Shadows Lane, just south of the town off of Alt 95.

Once completed, the new center will be around 20,000 square feet, and it will contain under the one roof, the worship area, offices and classes for religious education.

Our current church is about 2,000 square feet, and with another about 2,000 square feet in the office house that also serves as classrooms.

We are bursting at the seams with our religious education program and Mass attendance, so extra space will be welcome.
