Ethnic Ministries
|
The greatest homage which all the Churches can give to Christ on the threshold of the third millennium will be to manifest the Redeemer’s all-powerful presence through the fruits of faith, hope and charity present in the men and women of many different tongues and races who have followed Christ. (Tertio Millenio Adveniente, no.37) | The Diocese of Reno celebrates the gifts of cultural diversity that are present in every one of the Ethnic Communities existing at the present time. There are 18 different ethnic groups represented in the diocese: African American, Asian, Basque, Chinese, Croatian, East Indian, Filipino, Hispanic, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Lithuanian, Native American, Nigerian, Polish, Korean, Romanian, Tongan and Vietnamese.
The Office of Ethnic Ministries would like to affirm the presence and foster a sense of belonging of each of the different communities within the diocese.
